Manzanillo is located in the Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge, an ideal place to come into close contact with the natural world. The town of Manzanillo is small and welcoming, and its inhabitants have been able to keep the traditions of its Afro-Caribbean pioneers. Just as in Puerto Viejo, here smiles are an everyday gift.

Some preferred activities in this area are sun-bathing at the beach, walking by the Refuge, take a boat to spot dolphins.
